Life & Tech Experience
- Trained and thrived in the multi-faceted U.S. Naval Intelligence community as a Marine Corps Cryptologic Technician. Maintained a DOD awarded TS Clearance with Signals Intelligence access beginning in 1979. Honorably Discharged as a decorated USMC Sergeant in 82'
- Steve returned to his Texas roots, collegiant endeavors, broad-banded analog/digital career asperations, and to try and find the best woman with whom to spend the rest of my life.
- Discovered and married 'Wifey for Lifey' Susan in 87'... As of 1/20/2025.... Two Daughters, 13 +/- Great & Grand kiddos keep us young, and on our toes.
- During the mid-late 80's, Steve served a few D/FW area Data Centers in Operational, Sysadmin, Tech Support roles across various business practices including General Accounting, Nuclear Power Data Ops and International Cellular voice/data technical support.
- In 1990, He resigned from Global U.S. Sprint, accepting a gig @ the Tarrant Appraisal District as an IBM 4381 VM//VSE Mainframe Systems Operator. Sure, less pay..but better family bennies and a closer commute.. Best Career Move Yet..
Fast Forward to 2025 ... 35 Years Later....
- January retired from The District.... Primary and secondary duties included but not limited to:
- IBM iSeries/POWER8 System Administration/Operations
- Digital Document Imaging planning/Implementation and support
- Enterprise-wide end user Technical Support
- Mass Mailing and Print Management
- Audio/Visual design and implementation
- Purchasing and procurement procedure policy adherence
- Excellent interpersonal skills helping and training end users to apply and understand technology.
- Being a generally nice guy with an excellent 4.8+ performance evaluation rating 30+ years.
- On-call 24/7/365 as required.
